About Pixel Voltaic

Pixel Voltaic Lda. is a Spin-off company from UPORTO created in November 2018 for producing energy related technologies. The company´s mission is to promote and enable a quick transition of innovative technologies that have just reached the proof-of-concept into the market. Pixel Voltaic owns provisional patent “Catalytic methane decomposition and catalyst regeneration, methods and uses thereof” with priority from December 2018. Pixel Voltaic is very engaged in bringing this technology to the commercial level as soon as possible, due to its social, economic and strategic value. Pixel Voltaic is quite happy with the possibility for applying to the EIC program. More recently, Pixel Voltaic is developing with UPORTO a machine for low process temperature, laser assisted, glass sealing glass substrates, a process quite relevant for encapsulating Dye Sensitized Solar Cells and Perovskite Solar Cells. Pixel Voltaic filled a patent on the methane decomposition technology.
