The UPorto Joins Chempor 2023

International Chemical and Biological Engineering Conference| Bragança, Portugal

September 12-15, 2023

The International Chemical and Biological Engineering Conference (CHEMPOR) stands as a well-established triennial event, meticulously organized by a Portuguese Higher Education Institution and the Portuguese Engineers Association. Its primary objective is to convene experts in chemical or biological engineering and related fields, facilitating the exchange of knowledge, scientific insights, and technological applications across academic, manufacturing, scientific, and technical communities. CHEMPOR delves into the overarching significance of engineering and technology, spanning areas such as green chemistry and engineering education, with a steadfast commitment to sustainable development and societal needs.

These conferences actively encourage the participation and idea exchange among a diverse array of stakeholders, ranging from academics engaged in science and technology to researchers and engineers in the chemical, food, pharmaceutical, and material industries. The overarching goal is to establish a platform for trainees, fellows, and researchers from academia and industry to share and discuss cutting-edge advancements, fostering the exchange of new research and concepts.

In this spirit, the University of Porto made a robust contribution to the conference. Jorge Martins presented his work titled “Low-Temperature Hermetic Encapsulation for Long-Term Stable Dye-Sensitized Solar Cells,” Eliana Loureiro shared insights in her presentation, “A Novel Approach for Lead Mitigation in Perovskite Solar Cells Glass Encapsulated by Laser Sealing.” Marta Pereira contributed with “Hermetic Encapsulation for Long-Lifetime Printable Perovskite Solar Cells and Mini-Modules,” while Jeffrey Capitão addressed “Overcoming the Upscaling Challenges of Dye-Sensitized Solar Cells with Fluorine-Doped Tin Oxide Current Collectors.”
