Uli Würfel at the Carbon Club

First International Conference on Carbon Electrode-based Perovskite Solar Cells| Online

October 11-12, 2023

The Carbon Club Conference, a part of the DIAMOND project, served as a catalyst for collaboration and the advancement of carbon electrode-based perovskite solar cell technology. Bringing together leading scientists, researchers, and industry experts, the event fostered knowledge exchange and innovation. The collective goal was to contribute to a sustainable future by revolutionizing the renewable energy landscape through the use of carbon electrode-based perovskite solar cells. The conference provided a platform for discussions, presentations, and collaborative research to unlock the full potential of this technology and make a significant impact on global energy sustainability.

Uli Würfel, the Head of Department Organic and Perovskite Photovoltaics at Fraunhofer ISE, plays a pivotal role in the project. Having studied Physics at the Universities of Freiburg and Heidelberg, he earned his Ph.D. from the University of Freiburg in 2006. His research focus includes the characterization and modeling of various solar cells, such as organic and perovskite, and the scaling up of organic solar cells. As the project coordinator of DIAMOND, Uli presented a perspective on the project during the conference.
