Uppsala University Shines at SciFest 2023, Showcasing DIAMOND Project Innovations

SciFest 2023 | Uppsala, Sweden

September 23, 2023

SciFest is an expansive science festival encompassing a wide array of disciplines, ranging from natural sciences and technology to medicine, pharmacy, humanities, and social sciences. It serves as a collaborative platform where researchers, educators, students, and other participants, including high schools and companies, converge to offer a comprehensive three-day educational experience. This experience comprises interactive demonstrations, hands-on activities, captivating scientific shows, and enlightening lectures. SciFest extends a warm invitation to students, teachers, and the general public, providing them with the opportunity to engage directly with research and science.
This year, the team from Uppsala University, led by Prof. Gerrit Boschloo, actively participated in SciFest 2023. Their involvement aimed to showcase the ongoing work within the DIAMOND Horizon EU Project, such as innovative technology such as perovskite solar modules. They interacted with schoolchildren during the initial two days and engaged with the general public on the event’s concluding day.
The turnout exceeded expectations, and there is a promising prospect of nurturing a future generation of young scientists in the coming years.
